Dear Cartersville Pride Members,
I am proud to announce that our little group has officially started the process to become a registered, not-for-profit business in the state of Georgia. After hours of dedicated work and collaboration from group Admins. and your recently elected board members, Cartersville Pride filed for incorporation on June 1, 2025.
As Board Chair, I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and empowering environment where every individual—regardless of ability, background, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression—feels seen, valued, and supported. I believe leadership is rooted in creating spaces that celebrate diversity, embrace individuality, and encourage growth for all members of our community.
Just as education thrives when it recognizes that each student’s journey is unique, our organization flourishes when we honor the diverse experiences and identities of those we serve. By cultivating a culture of respect and collaboration, we can ensure that every voice is heard and that each person feels safe to express their authentic self.
In my role, I strive to guide our board in advancing our mission of providing community, connection, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies in Cartersville, Bartow County, and beyond. I envision a future where equality and diversity are not just ideals but lived realities—where everyone is empowered to thrive, celebrated for who they are, and encouraged to take on new and meaningful challenges.
Together, we will build a community where inclusion is at the heart of all we do, ensuring that each individual feels proud, supported, and inspired to create positive change.
